The Black Entertainment Television network, AKA BET, is celebrating it’s 30th anniversary — but has the network helped Blacks move forward or has it only succeeded in moving the community backward???
More when youCNN ran an interesting story on BET today making an argument that the network is evolving, with the acquisition of shows like “The Game” and their new channel Centric as examples.
BET co-founder Sheila Johnson recently told The Daily Beast that she is ashamed of the network she and ex-husband Bob Johnson started.
